tibits has gained a two star 'Sustainability Champion Award' from the Sustainable Restaurant Association (SRA) which rates restaurants according to how green and sustainable they are.
The SRA's report praises tibits for encouraging "diners to enjoy sustainable vegetarian and vegan cuisine by quoting ‘Meat-Free Mondays’ and ‘Fish-Free Fridays’ and receiving a discount on these days."
The report continues: "There many other commendable sustainability practices at tibits, such as sourcing organic milk, tofu, bread and UK craft beer, providing staff with extensive training opportunities, installing energyefficient sensors on lighting, and providing the restaurant as a free venue space to community organisations and local charities."
